Dear Awareness Center Family,
April is a time of renewal. This weekend we mark the time of Easter
with renowned author and healer David Elliot. I attended his first
healer training programs several years ago and highly recommend
him as a healer and teacher. Please take this opportunity to experience
his grounded wisdom and healing gifts.
Our Grand Re-Opening Celebration
will be held on April 21st with special discounts, free classes,
refreshments and a “yogi bazaar” all day. Guru
Darshan will be brewing up “Golden Milk” and we will
have other tasty treats available. We will close the evening with
an incredible concert by Larisa Stow and Shakti Tribe at 8pm. They
have been rocking the spiritual circuit for a few years now and
will have you chanting, dancing and in a blissful state of peace
by the end of the night. Please celebrate the Grand Opening day
with us, and let us thank you for being our loyal students all these
years.
Sat Nam and With Deep Gratitude,
Wahe Guru Kaur and “Team Awareness” (AC Staff and Teachers)

FEATURED TEACHER: RICK COLELLA
Rick Colella has been a part of the yoga and meditation community
for 13 years with 8 years of teaching experience in many of the
top yoga studios in Los Angeles. The transformation of his own
life through Yoga and Meditation has uniquely focused his ability
to teach his students practical life skills that they can use
on and off the mat. He was trained by Shinzen Young as a meditation
facilitator for Vipassana Support International and is the founder
and former owner of the Insight Yoga studio in Pasadena, CA. He
has spent the last 7 years developing the practice of Insight
Yoga.
Insight Yoga is a moving meditation where we
develop deep concentration and apply it to becoming specifically
aware of the body while doing hatha yoga postures. By exploring
different locations of sensations in the body, different types
of physical and emotional sensations, and different aspects of
sensation, we transform consciousness and become much more present
and deeply relaxed.
Insight Yoga is taught as a guided meditation
during a Vinyasa/Flow Hatha Yoga practice which increases endurance,
balance, strength, flexibility, and enhances health and vitality.
Beginners who are in good physical condition are welcome. This
vigorous style of hatha yoga is perfectly suited to those who
are interested in a good workout as well as a deep form of meditation.
Rick teaches Insight Yoga on Wed. and Fri. from 4:30-6:00pm
and Sundays from 11:00-12:30pm. (By Donation)
