Beginner's Series
The Kundalini Yoga Beginner’s Series is a six-week
series of yoga classes and lectures. Whether you are new to yoga, new
to Kundalini yoga, or interested in deepening your yoga practice, this
course will provide the space, support, and knowledge to do just that.
Each class includes a Kundalini yoga set focusing on the specifics of
the postures, breathing techniques, and hand positions, and a lecture
on Kundalini yoga subjects.
This class is taught by Santokh Singh Khalsa, D.C., founder of The Awareness
Center, who has been practicing and teaching yoga for over thirty years,
and by Wahe Guru Kaur/Gisela Powell, owner of the Awareness Center, who
has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 2002. In this course you will benefit
from the vast knowledge and passion these teachers bring to their practice
and their teaching.
Lectures include:
- How Kundalini yoga differs from other types of yoga
- How to meditate using mantra, mudras and breathing
techniques
- The importance of relaxation and stress reduction
- The Chakras
- Yogic diet
- Yogic lifestyle
- Healing
